Jun 15, 2016 - The Grand Finale

Wednesday morning we drove about 45 miles to see the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. The day was pleasant and dry. We saw gorgeous trees, roses, peonies, a Japanese garden, herb garden, an annual and perennial garden and even new ways to make parking lots better for the environment. We went on a tram ride to get an overview of all there was to see and then walked around some of the gardens. We had lunch at the cafe, eating our meal outside in the terrace gardens. Jun 14, 2016 - Como Park for Old Times Sake

My cousins Juanita and Janelle are fantastic hosts. They had great ideas of how to spend our days together. Monday night we went to Janelle and Don's (Janelle's husband) for dinner. We got to see their unexpected major project --- they are having a new septic system put in their backyard. Just what everyone wants to spend thousands of dollars on! Jun 13, 2016 - On to the Twin Cities

No phone service and no internet do not make me very happy when I'm trying to find someone to fix our windshield wipers and electric step. Here's what happened last Monday as we made our way to the Twin Cities from Central Wisconsin. We had decided on Sunday to go to the Twin Cities on Monday instead of Tuesday because it wasn't suppose to rain. Important fact if you don't have working windshield wipers.
