I spent the better part of they day staring down 4 small to medium sized backpacks and questioning my sanity. My goal from the beginning was to try to do this thing with primarily carry on baggage, and if not, minimal checked bags. So today my curiosity got the best of me and I had to practice pack Sophie. After a very short time picking out her outfits, we tried all the tricks (rolling, stuffing etc) and successfully got everything she needed with room to spare in a standard sized backpack with laptop compartment. Whew! OK...if she can...

Aug 24, 2009 - Mega shopping and Lebanon Woods Regional Park
Monday, August 24, we headed North to a campground we have visited about 6 years ago, Lebanon Hills Regional Park located in Eagan, MN and Apple Valley, MN. The campground is along the edge of a 2,000 acre very wooded park in Dakota County with suburbia all around it. It has several lakes, a beach, many walking and bicycle trails, and cross-country skiing trails. This is another park to put on your place to visit. We were amazed that there were shopping malls, stores, restaurants and many neighborhoods all around these 2000 acres. Dakota...
