Jun 30, 2019 - Last MN Post

All packed up and ready to head to North Dakota. It's been a fun visit here in Minnesota. Got to visit family, play croquet, games, sleep overs, pizza party at Dave and Berta's, floaties at the lake (I got the yellow duckie), and of course pool time. Also, got to snap a throwback pic of Mary from back in the "day". See you all in Fargo.

Jun 25, 2019 - Last days in Minnesota

Our last week in Minnesota then off to Fargo. Weather has been odd. One day rainy, cloudy and the next sunny and warm. So we try to do the fun stuff when the sun is out. Have had the grand kids visiting. Playing cornhole (bean bag game), board games, and swimming. Hung at the nearby lake to sun and swim. And,of course pool time. We had a Gatorfest. Cooked some of the alligator we brought from Florida and had a fest with Dave, Berta and kids. Not bad for our first attempt. Lilly is at Basketball camp, so we went to see her shoot some hoops....

Just doing stuff around the campground... Games, Pool, Movies (Some dog thing and then Rocketman). Weather has been all over.. Sunny one day, rain the next. We have a ton of weekend warriors here. They arrive on Fridays with tons of kids and are gone Sunday afternoon. Kinda a mixed bag. Fun seeing all the crazy, but still crazy. Two more weeks until we roll to North Dakota.

Sep 29, 2018 - Birthday party and Apple orchard

The advenutue continues... We celebrated a birthday for our 11 year old granddaughter and had tacos, ice cream and a unicorn cake. Tried to convince her that birthday girls after the age of 10 must buy gifts for party attendees. Didn't work. We then had cousins stay in a cabin at our camp ground. So, combo slumber party and birthday. Following day was met with 32 degree temps, so of course we had to visit an apple orchard. Lucky it warmed up to mid 40s. Did the wagon ride, corn maze, animal petting, hay climbing and apple goods purchasing....

Sep 19, 2018 - Cooling

Down to our last couple of weeks and the weather is cooling along with rain. Our friend Tony stopped by with his rig and dog on his was to visit Wisconsin. Continued to hang with grandkids, but the pool is now officially closed for the season. So, we saw a movie; The Wife. It was awesome and I recommend it. Also, checked out some costumes and went to the Depot to look at nic naks along with wine, goodies and venison sausage treats.

Sep 10, 2018 - Oops

Sorry it's been a while but I had a booboo. Went out to CA to get the bike. Rode up to Fort Bragg CA which is about 4 hours north of San Francisco. Had a blast but when going to the beach for a Memorial service, the throttle malfunctioned and I was headed into a pack of about 100 bikes. Managed to avoid them but busted up ribs, concussion and some skin removed. With the help of friends I got back here. Meanwhile, Mary had the kids over for Memorial Day and did the picnic thing. Went up to Bemidji in North MN, to visit our friend Nellie....

Aug 27, 2018 - More Clearwater

We've been here for a while and plan to be here at the St. Cloud Clearwater RV Park until October. I'm flying back to the Springs on Wednesday to pick up my bike and visit then riding back to the park. Since our original plans to stay at another park didn't work out, this place has done a great job accommodating us. We will get our real full time site on the 5th, but until then no clear shot of the southern sky, so no TV. Been bowling, swimming, visiting the Gas Pump Collector, and visiting family. We did skip bingo night though. Trudged...

Aug 22, 2018 - Clearwater

Cruised East about 3 hours to Clearwater. Checked into our campsite and did some dock fishing with our grandson. But the tree cover was to dense so no satellite and no gravel, so really dusty. Moved down the road and now have all services and a pool. No lake though, but we will get some fishing in.

Jul 29, 2015 - July 29, 2015 - Eighth Stop - Clearwater, MN

After driving to Eau Claire to pick up the sign we ordered for hanging on the front of the trailer ( our names and homes), we left Chippewa Falls for our next stop in MN. We arrived at 5:00pm because we were stopped for two hours on I 94 because of construction. I 94 at this point is not a great road, so we are only driving 55 mph even in the 70 mph speed zones. This RV Park is nice, but I am not taking any pics here. Kay made sure we got a site where we could set up the satellite dish to get Fox News. This new sat dish is automatic in...

Jun 11, 2014 - Clearwater, Minnisota

Today Ross & Marge left Chippewa, Wisconsin around 0830 and headed for Clearwater, Minnesota, a distance of about 158 miles. The weather was great with clear skies and no heavy winds. Traffic was light and the roads were fair with a few a exceptions where the road surface was rough and at times reaching to California standards for rough roads. They bypassed the St. Paul/Minneapolis area using I 694. They arrived in Clearwater, Minnesota around 1130. Approximately 23 miles east of the campground in Clearwater they passed a huge outlet...

Jun 27, 2011 - Creative Memories

I guess the old body clock knows when you need rest...I didn't wake up for good until 7:55 this morning---wow! No thunderstorms or high winds and those night shades are doing the trick I do believe. May have to install them in the bedroom in the stick house! Had plans to take a little out of the way road trip today, but then Lee reminded me that I needed to get in touch with the shade people about our tire covers. Did that and the box shipped on Friday, so hopefully it'll still be in the box when we get home Lee and not on your rig! Also...

Ah, another restful night spent at Uncle Wally's! Apparently not so for Sam. He stayed up watching antenna tv and said he heard a vehicle come screehing by and yell some things at the 'Bama! And then, a red pickup parked not to far away for about an hour. Have noticed that the two Uncle Wally's we've stayed at, that they don't have drive around security like we do at home. Not that we need it..we have Rita and her little buddy! When I got up, I noticed a Class C parked across the lot in the "designated" rv parking. Have to say, while I may...
