Jun 24, 2016 - Map of my 17 day route

Each day is a different color. We stay in Gettysburg for from July 4th, leaving on the 8th. You will notice one long color of Pink that is when I have to travel in one day (July 8th) to get to Chicago for a family reunion. I meet up with one of my travel companions on the 10th and a couple more Women On Wheels Friends (WOW) to meet up with the Sisters Centenial Ride traveling from Manhatten, NY to San Francisco, CA

Apr 23, 2014 - April 22 - Day 19

We are definitely in the mid-west. Lots of beautiful, wide open spaces as far as you can see! We head out for Chaska, MN and the Hansens. Our first detour of the day is to Wall Drug. We have seen billboards for this general store and cafe for at least 100 miles, so we have to check it out. The town of Wall is basically a main street that has an old western town feel to it. We pull in and park near Wall Drug. It is a large store with three sections to it: drug store, restaurant and souvenir shop. We pick up a few things and Chooie heads...

Jul 25, 2008 - I've finished this journal, be sure to check the new one

I've finally finished all the editing and uploading all the photos. I hope you enjoyed this journal as much as we did in doing all the traveling. I must admit that after two months of living out of our suitcases, packing up almost every day, lugging everything on and off the bus, we were glad to go home. Feb 3, 2008 - Home in Minnesota for a few days at least

We left Bonita Spring, Florida Tuesday, Jan. 29th and headed north. We had an enjoyable stop at the Friends First Rally at Lazy Days Rally Park in Tampa on Tuesday and Wednesday. We got to visit with several of our RV friends, attended a couple of RV related seminars and toured the 2008 Fleetwood motorhomes that were on display. We left for home Thursday morning, made it to Chattanooga the first night, about 560 miles. Friday we hit the road about 7:30 EST and decided we would drive straight through to Minnesota. The roads were clear, the...

Jul 24, 2007 - Home sweet home and what keeps us busy

While we were gone there was a storm that took out two trees at home. We lost the big basswood in the front yard that had been home to the fairy garden. Then we lost the oak in the backyard that was framed by the picture window when looking out from the great room. The wind also knocked down the barn at the farm. It needed to come down, but I think it might be more work now to salvage some of the beams. Our oldest grandson Joshua graduated from high school the end of May. He has turned into a really wonderful young man and we are so proud...
