Jul 18, 2011 - Camping in Aitkin

Spent the weekend at Hickory Lake campground. Not a bad campground but they did nickel and dime you for everything. Paid $52 a night, plus $5/night for the hound, then had to pay $.25 to shower! Nice hosts though. Was great to get away with just the family.

Jul 1, 2011 - Michigan to Minnesota

Today we continued west from Michigan through Wisconsin and in to Minnesota. We continued northwest to the town of Bemidji where we're spending the night. Tomorrow...

Few photographs for today with the most interesting one of polished granite benches and tables at a rest station in Minnesota. Not sure...

(Written & posted while at Uncle Wally's in Hutchinson, MN, approximately 50 miles due west from Minneapolis, but covering several days & several stops.) OK, with my fingernail hanging on my tooth, in my most contemplative pose..........Where did I leave off the last time that I wrote???.......How many days or weeks ago was that????.....Geez, I hope that I don't forget anything that has happened between then & now!!!!! If my memory serves me correctly (which is always suspect), the last that I wrote was about our visit to the Forest History...
