We left the UP (Upper Peninsula) via the only route…crossing the Mackinaw bridge, which was built in 1957, and still charges tolls (do they ever!), and is apparently in a continuous state of being maintained or repaired. Mackinaw is a small town on the mainland side. We stopped there at an RV wash (which you don’t find too often) to wash some of the grime off.
