Jul 17, 2015 - Tawas City, Michigan

I think that since we have free Wi-Fi in our latest campground and it is raining I will get a new blog post up for you to enjoy. We are so happy that the last park Tawas City and now in Harbor Beach have good free Wi-Fi since we are very close to using up our normal 15 gig of data. And it costs $15.00 for one more gig! This is the first full month since we bought our tablets and we have been using them a lot. Right now we are confident that we can manage with the 15 gig going forward but we will see what happens. We spent three nights in...

Sep 17, 2013 - Lake number 3

Tawas City, MI First it was Lake Superior and then Lake Michigan. Today we drove the coast of Lake Huron which, by the way, is number 2 in size after Lake Superior. We expect to visit all 5 of the Great Lakes on this trip. Since huge ships sail on the Lakes, there are lots of lighthouses. We saw 4 today – each one different. Two of them are still functioning. Thursday morning we pulled out of Cedarville and headed South down 23 on the Eastern shores of Lake Huron where we have never traveled. We’re glad we did. I have to mention that we didn’t leave Cedarville without 3 bags of homemade donuts from our Cedarville Grocery store. We froze two, one for each of our kid’s family who had them everyday when they came up to visit in July. Wednesday night...

It was a very pretty ride and we stopped at a quilt shop in Oscoda. We left Jamie's at about 1030am, stopped in Cheboygan to pay for his tonneau cover, and then drove to our destination, after staying at Jamie's place for 3 nights. We got to our destination about 5pm

Aug 21, 2008 - Tawas Michigan

It is now time to move on to Marty's sister and brother-in-laws house. We knew that Maureen and Fran would be at work when we arrived so we just pulled into their driveway and set up the motor home. After doing what we needed to do we went down the road and surprised Maureen at the local Chrysler dealership where she works. Later in the evening we walked across the street to the golf course and had a burger and a few drinks. Catching up on what had been happening in our lives is always fun. We stayed busy the four days that we were there....
