Jun 1, 2011 - Another Beautiful Park

Late last night, we had another unbelievable display from Mother Nature which resulted in another Johnism. Lunder and thightning. Non-stop - in the distant sky. Actually, there was no sound of lunder as it was too far away but the lightning was incredible. It was flashing from cloud to cloud and going up into the high clouds. Once in a while, a huge strike would hit the ground. We couldn't tell how far away it was, but whoever was beneath it all experienced the wrath of an incredible storm. == Today was travel day again and we headed west...

Pretty Damn Nice!

May 22, 2010 - Visiting Vicky and Bob

On Saturday, we drove about 2 hours northwest to visit Bob and Vicky Rankin, friends from San Diego who have retired recently to Michigan. It was wonderful to see them again, as we hadn't seen them since we left San Diego almost 3 years ago. The area they live in called Tullymore is just beautiful and so is their home. We visited Saturday afternoon and had a chance to see their new home. Then we went for dinner at the clubhouse. May 29, 2004 - Our First campground

Our first campground of our travels was the River Ridge Resort at Stanwoood just north of Grand Rapids. The RV dealer had booked us a site for several days but we stayed well over a week as we needed to get ourselves sorted out before really getting on the road.
