An interesting berry grows here called the thimbleberry - see pictures. The berries do not look like the berries we're used to. They more resemble a heavily pollinated flower. Evidently this is one of the few places they grow, so you have to buy thimbleberry jam while you are here, which we did. It's quite nice with a kind of fresh kick. With great trepidation we ventured out today hoping that US41 was open and going to remain so. We had a Plan B - if the road was going to be closed on Friday, but open after 3:30 p.m. today, we would leave...
