Rose early to clear skies - hallelujah, a break from the wind and the rain. We are continuing on our journey of Michigan's upper penninsula, stopping in Escanaba along the north coast of Lake Michigan for pasty #2. This one from Dobber's Pasty shop - a yummy combination of chicken, potatoes, carrots, celery and rutabaga (my first time trying this veggie). Aug 19, 2010 - It's the Model T Ford Made the People Want to Get, Want to Get Up and Go!

We made Lapeer, Michigan our base of operations after we left the UP. We had stayed at a city park here back in 2006 and since there aren't too many RV parks close to Detroit, we decided this would work for us. On Monday, we decided to drive the 50 miles into Sarnia, Canada and eat at a fish and chips place we had discovered in 2006. It was just as good as we remembered it, and we also met some really nice Canadians at the table next to us.
