L'Anse was our first stop in the upper peninsula of Michigan and also where we were meeting up with Nancy and John our friends from Bonita. The campground was located in a township park and offered electricity only, but the location was worth doing without water and sewer. We arrived slightly before them and set up on a grassy spot over looking Lake Superior. It was a great location with a beautiful view. Jul 17, 2009 - L'Anse, Michigan - There's a certain "Aura" about it...

Munising to L’Anse We headed out along the shore of Lake Superior. The was not much around except for trees and road until we hit Marquette and Ispheming. We were supposed to go out the Keweenaw Peninsula, to Copper Harbor, for three days, but because of Aaron's wedding we had to shorten a few things, and Copper Harbor was one of them...
