Sep 13, 2011 - Big Al (KB8FJB)

Today we left the Wal*Mart and heading to Elkhart, MI to visit with Big Al. John and Jan were there at the time so we got to see them again also. We all went out for a nice lunch before Tom and I continued heading east. We stayed the night at "Cabela's" they are super to RVers. They have their own lot for only RVs and they also provide water and a dump station if you need to use it. He had a very long day and were very tired. So we got a quick bit to eat at Applebees and hit the sack. Up early the next morning to continue heading east.

John likes to stop at Cabela’s. They are a nice store and very accommodating to RV’s. Sept. 7th Monday Labor Day. We decided to leave the home at Cabela’s and drive into Detroit. I know,...

Thursday October 23…11:00pm We were up a little earlier this morning, in time to see the sunrise around 7:30am. It was cloudy where we are, but on the horizon it wasn’t, so there was just a strip of sun when it came up. We drove about 30 km’s (18 miles) to the town of Blenheim and had some breakfast. By this time it was getting sunny out, although it was still windy. Put another $40 worth of gas in at 0.979 CAN per litre (about $2.96 US per gallon). This will be enough to get us to our destination in Michigan where gas is a lot...
