We traveled less than 70 miles southeast back to Curtis. We liked the Log Cabin campground so much we decided to return for another week. While it is pricey, you get a very nice site, with full concrete pad, cable, and full hookups in the woods with a beach available to you on Big Manistique Lake. Very pretty. We are starting to see a good amount of fall color now along M28 between Munising and Seney National Wildlife Refuge. Aug 20, 2008 - Curtis, MI - Log Cabin Resort & Campground

We spent a week here enjoying sights at Seney National Wildlife Refuge - dozens of trumpter swans, loons, canadian geese, grebes, sandhill cranes, tern, cormorant, beaver and many deer. We even saw fresh wolf tracks along the waters edge at Spillway J. This part of Michigan is a favorite of ours. We've spent time here before at this refuge. There are bear, wolves, and moose here as well; we just haven't been fortunate enough to see them here. When we first started coming here in the early 80s, they had just reintroduced the trumpter swans...
