Aug 5, 2010 - Last Day of Fun

JW Wells has some interesting trails and we enjoyed hiking some of them. The stone buildings you see on the trail were built by the CCC during the great depression and are still in remarkable shape. Some were ravaged by Lake superior storms and are being restored. We hiked into Cedar River Marina and had a close up view of some fishing boats. Aug 3, 2010 - Time to leave, or so we thought

It's time to leave Fort Wilkins State Park and head for JW Wells State park in the southern part of the UP. We had everything packed and were ready to hook up the camper. That's when things started to go wrong AGAIN! We had jacked the front of the camper up so high to get it level, it actually stripped the threads in the side winder jack. So, the camper could not be lowered on to the hitch. A very nice campground maintenance man came to the rescue.
