Sun, 02 Aug: OK, now it's time to head north... We spent a quiet weekend plugged into Leon's 50 ampere service (we paid him extra for the electricity) working on keeping cool. It was hot and humid and we got a chance to try out our fridge fixes. Thus far it is doing a fine job of keeping its cool. After feeding ourselves and getting things ready for the road we connected the car and rolled our wheels about 0930. A short distance north on IN 5 to IN 120, which we took west to IN 13. 2015 Travels

Aug 28, 2011 - Buchanan, MI

8/11 - Instead of driving north into Canada and around Lake Huron, we went south across the Mackinac bridge and into Lower Michigan. Spent one night in a Passport Park in Mancelona, Michigan and were on our way south the next morning. It was difficult...

It should be quite a spectacular show of color as Fall brings it’s color to the East. Bear Cave Resort was pretty much empty when we arrived. Most of the campers were either full time residents or a...

Chasing the Sunrise

Aug 26, 2007 - Caledonia, WI to Buchanan, MI

WOW - Lake Michigan looks like the ocean! We walked by the lake in Racine, WI and took Lakeshore Drive through Chicago, appreciating the beautiful scenery and great weather. We traveled through Indiana to Fuller's Clear Lake Resort - SSSS. That gave us three new states on our map! Our site is very close to the lake and the atmosphere is sort of like a family campground in the Catskills in upstate New York back in the 60's. Considering its still summer, there's very few people here. As you can see in the pictures, they had considerable storm...
