Jun 25, 2018 - Bang!

June 25 - Bang. Well, no, actually it sounded like 'flap', and then I saw shreds of tire flailing out of the wheel well, from my mirror view. We pulled over to gravel/grass shoulder of two lane Michigan 28. It separated the fender from three screws and blackened it. Quite a mess, but the wheel seemed unscathed. Jun 23, 2018 - Lake Superior campsite

June 23/24 - 8:30 - 2:20, 215 mi. , thus beating my "230" protocol of quitting for the day before 2:30 and/or 230 miles driven. Crossed bridge into US, long wait at customs but no issues. 20 minutes later arrived at Brimley state park (Mich.) which is on Lake Superior. Nice site. Will stay two nights and do day trips on Sunday. Our wifi hotspot is working now and should continue until the Rockies.

A radio show broadcasts from our breakfast place every morning. We talk one more time with the deejay before we head east. We are able to listen to his show for awhile until we are out of range. We intended...
