Day 125 of The Big Trip Another 60-mile drive took us to a county park, near Bergland, MI. I got so tired of mosquitoes. They greeted us everywhere we went. The attraction, in this area, was the Porcupine Mountain Wilderness State Park, on the shore of Lake Superior. Two people had strongly recommended that we see the Porcupine Mountains, so off we went. May 22, 2011 - Bergland, Michigan

Today the skies were foggy, but it looked like we would miss the rain as we rode out of Grayling, although it was inevitable that we would catch up with the bad weather they were forecasting later in the day. We crossed over the Mackinac Bridge in the fog and cold temperatures and then through the Sault Ste Marie State Forest. We hit a thunderstorm around 1 pm, and had to pull off into a Subway restaurant to get some shelter.
