Jul 11, 2013 - Cuttyhunk Island

Cuttyhunk is a private island half way between Newport and Martha's Vineyard. It has a protected harbour and we were able to stay on a mooring. We took the dingy in and had a walk around. On the small dock an old lady sold fresh scallops and lobster. We bought some scallops for dinner. A lovely place for an overnight!

Jul 20, 2011 - Cuttyhunk...lands end

Just to prove that we are taking a slower pace and making it up as we go along, we decided on the spur to stay a third day in Newport. Monday evening we joined cruising friends Kathy and Ron Trossbach on their new trawler Sunneshine. It was fun catching up. Tuesday was a perfect travel day as we crossed Rhode Island Sound to the entrance to Buzzards Bay before noon. Our destination was Cuttyhunk; indian for “Lands End”...where the clothes come from.
