Our plan today was to visit historic Sturbridge Village, but then we realized that the nursing home where our good friend, Betty, has been for the last couple years was only 45 minutes from our campground, so we decided to pay her a visit. We have been talking about making a trip up here to see her for a long time, and we knew that if we didn't go we would certainly regret it later on. Aug 7, 2010 - Wassamki Springs Campground, Scarborough, ME to Village Green Family Campground
Today we actually departed our campground before checkout time for a change - 10:59am! Made it by one minute. We drove down I-95 to I-495 to I-290 to I-90 (Mass. Turnpike) and all we saw was TRAFFIC! Traffic northbound coming into Maine was backed up as far as we could see and lasted for miles and miles and more miles. We were so glad we were going the other direction. Sep 3, 2007 - Brimfield Antique Show
Tonight we are in Wales, MA at the Oakhaven Campground, a great little campground run by some high school friends. I had to try out my new Verizon Air Card and since we rarely get cell service in this area, I'm online and impressed with my air card. Yesterday we had a wonderful time at the Andy's family picnic the smell of turkey in the smoker filled the air when we arrived. Our outdoor early Thankgiving dinner was wonderful.
