Well, I finally made it to the plane, thanks to loads of help from friends and especially my Mum's efforts in helping me pack up(and chuck(!)) 24 years of accrued stuff so John could move in! Highlight of the flight over was a fantastic view of the Arctic ice - frozen sea with 'rivers' of white and icefields stretching as far as the eye could see. So there's still some there, for now at least... Since arriving I've been in recovery from the getting away process - and utterly pampered by Susan and Richard, my aunt and uncle. Both fantastic...
