Had a nice day in Boston. Rode the guided tour "Old Town Trolley" system. You could get off at any stop, spend time, and then get back on any bus and continue the tour! It was very convenient! Toured the USS Constitution. It is the oldest actively commissioned Navy vessel. Built in 1774-1775! Nicknamed "Old Ironsides" Never lost a battle.

Jun 10, 2013 - Boston, MA (Hingham)
It was very overcast when we left for Boston this morning. We parked near Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, which are 2 well know spots for locals and visitors in the heart of downtown Boston. Quincy Market has more than 50 shops, 14 restaurants and 40 food court spots. We got tickets for the hop-on/hop-off town trolley. But before getting on the trolley, I needed to find a pottie. Well, it couldn't have been in a better place; right next to the replica of the Cheers bar, my all-time favorite TV series!!!! And, of course, you had to go...

Jun 9, 2013 - Tom's River, NJ to Hingham, MA
It was sunny when we woke up this morning and we were glad because we had a long driving day, 320 miles. We usually only go about 200-250. As we were approaching New York, we could look across the Hudson River and see the skyline, including the Freedom Tower, 1776 feet tall. WOW, what a huge building. I think it's the 3rd tallest building in the world. As we were going over the George Washington bridge, we happened to look up and saw what looked like President Obama's 3 Marine helicopters. We'd seen them in DC and were pretty sure these...

6/6/13, Thursday We stopped in Plymouth, MA on our way to the Boston area. This is the home of Plymouth Rock where the Pilgrims (supposedly) first set foot in America. As we now know it was the second place. This is a really neat town!! The main street is right along the water and all the shops and restaurants look out over the water. We walked through the Mayflower gift shop and picked up a couple of Christmas ornaments. Unfortunately the Mayflower II was not in port as it is in drydock for repairs. But we enjoyed walking around the town....

Jun 5, 2013 - Sturbridge, MA
Today Clarence and I zigged when we should have zagged and ended up going about 40 miles out of our way. Fortunately we realized it as soon as we made the mistake and we told the other two to go the right way. Turned out the way we went was less traffic but more tolls! I guess that is why it had less traffic. Our friends, Terry and Doug, joined us today at the campground. We have traveled with them on caravans before and it was great to see them again. Irene fixed us all a great roast beef dinner in the crock pot.

Jun 5, 2013 - 1st Day to Sturbridge, Massachusetts
Today we drove 355 miles to Yogi Bear Jellystone RV Park in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. We had great weather and sunshine all the way. Clarence and Sandy live in Yulee, Fl., Adlai and Irene live in Jacksonville and Jim Martin(who lives in Oregon)drove up with them from Florida. Adlai and Irene hit a deer yesterday and really smashed in the front on their Allegro Bay motorhome. The deer went all the way under the motorhome and under the truck they tow. Needless to say,...
