Soylent Green made her maiden voyage today. We drove 160 miles to Westminster, Maryland to visit Shelly's aunt & uncle and see her parents and family (and pick up a grandfather clock). Since the van had been in the shop for about 6 weeks (having the floor boards replaced) we were both nervous about taking such an old van 3000 miles across the country. However, she ran great and even made it up to almost 80 mph at one point. We even passed a few cars, one being another VW Van (water cooled) and a teenager on a cell phone. Couldn't even keep...
