Home! We finally made it. Back home at last. Annapolis, Maryland is where we live. It's a beautiful little town located 30 miles east of Washington DC. Annapolis is located on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay, a gigantic body of water that feeds into the Atlantic Ocean. It's also the sailing capital of the US, and home to the United States Naval Academy. Crabs are our local favorite, and in the summertime everything is made with crab in it: crab cakes, whole steamed crabs, crab chowder. Tasty.

May 12, 2005 - Washington D.C. - Day 2
Hello! Today was a much more reasonably-paced day for us. We started out at the Phillips Collection, a modern art museum near our B&B (http://www.phillipscollection.org/). Currently, they have an incredible Modigliani exhibit which we were delighted to get to see. It included a favorite of Jenn's, his "Reclining Nude" but also loads of his sketches, sculptures and paintings. The museum's permanent exhibit had works by many famous modern masters, including Degas, Picasso, Chagall (another Jenn fave) and Cezanne among others. Though we've...
