May 26, 2011 - Linganore Wine Cellars
Today Debbie, Linda and Al took off around noon for a wine tour with the Good Sam Group. The tour was cut short due to a locked door, but the wine tasting was great. There were 17 different wines to taste and I stopped at about 10. This winery is one of Maryland's true treasures, Linganore Winecellars is Maryland's oldest and largest winery, with 60 acres of lush vineyards. They offer 32 varieties of grape, fruit and specialty wines.
