The Sotterly Plantation is the last remaining tide water plantation left in Maryland. It is located on the Patuxent River which was vital for moving goods to and from the plantation in colonial times. The original plantation house was constructed in 1703 and has under gone several additions and renovations while retaining parts of the original house.
