Aug 30, 2012 - Epilogue
Well, that’s it for this trip…we rode 4270 miles and didn’t get lost once! We did, however, have our share of adversity. Whenever someone strives to achieve a goal, an athlete for example, trying to break a record or win a contest; an explorer, seeking lost ruins or buried treasure; a businessman, trying to close a deal or build a new business, there will be setbacks and adversity. My favorite line has always been, “How come nothing is ever easy?” I know some of you think I complained too much on this trip or I was too negative (Glenda...

Aug 29, 2012 - Hazleton, PA to home
Nothing much to tell, just a line on the map from Pa. to home. We stopped in York for ABC picures of the York Harley Davidson factory and found out they moved the sign in front of the building and the York County visitor center that used to be way down on the end, up in front of the Softail plant. We took our time and got home in the early afternoon, in time to have a beer with the one of the neighors. There's just one more entry for this trip, the Epilogue, so don't stop here, read on.

Aug 6, 2012 - Leaving home
We were going to leave on Sunday, but waited a day because we were going to be riding right into the storms crossing Pa. Even though we were mostly packed and waiting to go, we still didn't get out of town until about 10:00 AM Monday morning. We had a little rain leaving Edgewater, but not bad considering what we would have hit the day before. This is just a place setter to get the trip line to start. Nobody really cares what time we left.

Oct 22, 2011 - Epilogue, Tullahoma to Home
We were sooo glad we used the trailer to get to Tennessee to start and to bring the bikes back to Maryland. We had great weather the whole trip (except Navasota) but it was raining and 45 degrees when we LEFT Md., it was 49 degrees in Tennessee when we left there, and it rained almost all the way home, although it was warmer when we got here. Total mileage on the bikes for the trip, about 2850, then about 1400 in the jeep with the trailer. We want to go back to Texas for some riding we missed, because we just didn't have enough time. There...
