Jul 6, 2016 - Andrews AFB, near Washington D.C.

We departed the Thousand Trails park Lynchburg about 9:30 this a.m. For the 146 mile drive thru Richmond up I-95 to Andrews AFB. We'll stay here as it is close to D.C. And other things we'll see. The golf course at the Camp is often visited by Barack Obama. AND YOU CAN WATCH HIM GOLF!!! THE PRESIDENT!! I really like this Base. Around 5:00 p.m. the National Anthem is played around the base. And at...

Whew! We pulled in mid afternoon and quickly got settled for a relaxing evening. Our objective for this move is 3 fast moving days to see D.C. And our first day touring, we had Rebecca drive the two of us to the Branch Ave Metro station at 9:00 a.m. Off we went into the "tube" for a day of adventure. First, we went to Arlington Cemetery, then to...
