The days seem to be going faster than at the beginning of our trip. Maybe that is because the days are shorter and cooler, the sun is playing hide and seek, and our hearts are focused now on going home. We spent the first three weeks of November on a Sowers project at America’s Keswick in Whiting, New Jersey. Keswick is a 4 month live in ministry that brings the love and person of Christ to men caught in addiction. Going East 2013

Oct 2, 2013 - Maine to New York

Four weeks ago we came out of Canada and delighted to have all information devices back in full use. How spoiled we have become and how much we depend on WiFi, e-mail, and Facebook to stay connected. Back in the States we detected another hunger and it was to do something useful and productive so we contacted the SOWERS office and asked to join up with the nearest project, arriving just one day late. Oct 15, 2007 - Dock Work at Rideouts

The 2007 Dock Repair Project: One of the "fun" 2007 projects was to repair the main dock for Rideouts. The main dock is about 250 foot long and is the most used dock off all. After doing a dock "survey" in the summer it was noted that 2 dock sections (a 20' and a 24' section) needed to be replaced and one dock section (the first float) needed repair. Jim and Bob Sr. built the dock sections and everyone joined in when it came to launching them. The dock sections were made with spruce main beams and cedar planks. The flotation is via 55...
