Jun 22, 2010 - Washington, ME

June 22 Washington, ME Home at last! We arrived home today with mixed feelings. We wanted our trip to last forever but also wanted to get back to our dog and cats and be in a place larger than our 7x10 camper space. We pried my mother out from the backseat and she’s still trying to work the kinks out of her body. We then picked up Shelby from one of his vacation homes. He was happy to see us although was probably sad to see his vacation end as well. We don’t think he had a lot of time to miss us although he did give both cats a kiss when he...

Apr 29, 2010 - On the road again

John and I are going on the road again in our truck camper. We leave May 14th and are looking forward to another exciting adventure across the country. With mixed feelings we are leaving Shelby (our dog) to go on his own adventure in Strafford, New Hampshire; Sebago Lake, Maine and Washington, Maine. What a treat to come home to a nice clean house, mowed lawn and even tomatoes planted in the garden. Thanks to Paulette, Ricky, Casey and Pat for making...

May 9, 2008 - Ready to go

Well we're finally all packed and ready to leave. We have everything but the kitchen sink packed. And we didn't pack that because we already have one in the camper! Saturday is a long day with about 10-12 hours of driving. We will arrive in Akron, NY at my cousin Pam's. It's supposed to be better on the truck and camper if we only go about 55 mph so it will be a slower trip than we're used to. Until next time.
