Yesterday was the perfect day for being “out and about” in Maine. We originally planned to head for the coast to enjoy the blueberry season and eat blueberry pie, however, due to the fact that we were desperately low on clean laundry we decided to use today to do laundry and then explore the sights north of us for the remainder of the day. We made an early start (I actually got up at 5:00 a.m. … can you believe it!?!) and headed first to Fairfield where we ate at my most favorite breakfast spot… the Kennebec Café.
