Aug 19, 2010 - Back in the USA

We arrived at our friend's home in Pittsfield late Tuesday evening. The drive across Nova Scotia on Monday was quite busy until we passed the turnoff for going to Prince Edward Island. At New Glasgow, the highway also became four lane highway and the speed went up to 110 kph. We made it to the Amhearst, Nova Scotia area the first day; and left earlier the following morning so that we could be back in the USA Tuesday. Jun 15, 2010 - Visiting our friends, Charlie and Linda

June 12-15 with our friends that we met in Alaska two years ago. Linda and Charlie have been very gracious hosts. We have had so much fun here. The first day we were kayaking shortly after lunch. You can see those pictures here in the journal. The following day we took a driving tour along the Penobscot Bay area going to Belfast and Camden. At Camden, we hiked up boulders to the top of Mt. Sep 27, 2008 - The end of our journey

September 27, 2008 We arrived back in Maine on September 26th and spent the night at Troy’s house in Portland. We couldn’t believe how tall Tegean had gotten since spring! She started Kindergarten this fall and loves going to school. We had a good time visiting with Troy Sally and Tegean through Saturday AM, and then started on the last leg of our journey. May 10, 2008 - Final Preperations

We are in the midst of final preparations for our trip to Alaska! Our original plan was to leave today, but there was so much going on we just didn't have everything ready. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of activities both social and obligatory. We have said good by to all our friends, finished doing Tasks that had to be accomplished and are ready to leave in the morning. We will miss being in Maine in the Summer and will definitely miss family and friends, but are looking forward to exploring new territory and meeting fellow...
