4 1/2 hour drive to Moody Beach, Maine - stayed here in late Maine, nice park with lots of trees. It feels good to be in this type of setting - staying until Sunday, the 31st to get caught up on laundry, etc. Chatted with Kathleen this a.m. on the phone - it was nice to catch up. May 20, 2011 - Sad news today

We got the news today that Betty Brown Eyman lost her battle with cancer this morning. It is a big loss for so many, the feelings of love I have are so hard to describe Betty was in my life since I was 15 years old – I am now 57+. Betty was my “other mother”. Who I am today I owe allot to Betty. There was a time when she would have been my ”mother-in-law/sister in law” - - when that possibility changed she still continued to welcome me as part of her family and welcomed my husband and family into her heart. Sep 9, 2007 - On Our Way to Maine

Sunday, September 9, 2007. Moody Beach Campground, Wells, ME Driving to Maine Tom got up early this morning and got ready. Jonathan and I had bunked in the back bedroom so we could sleep later but boy when you hear that diesel engine start underneath you, you wake up whether you want to our not!
