Aug 1, 2011 - The good & the bad

We had to leave Bar Harbor yesterday and that was a boo hoo. I really loved it there - that was good - but Mr. wasn't thrilled with the crowds - that was bad. But, it was such a great week with Alan and Steve and just wasn't the same without them. We decided to explore northern Maine in hopes of seeing some moose. We ended up about 25 miles south of Baxter State Park in a nice quiet campground and our site was tucked into the woods....that was good. But, this morning when we drove up to the park we were told we couldn't drive on the park...

Oct 5, 2008 - West of the Border

We re-enter the U.S. at Houlton, Maine - Sunday, October 5 Note: When going from Canada to the United States we tend to think of it as a drive from north to south, but the border between Woodstock, New Brunswick and Houlton, Maine runs straight north and south, so at this port of entry you come into the U.S. from the east. Our stay at Woodstock’s Cosy(sic) Cabins Motel and RV Park was a good one for our last night in Canada.
