After another good breakfast at the B&B, we packed the car and headed back to Vermont. We wanted to drive along the coast on our way back. We didn't realize how jagged the coast line is. On the west coast we drive Highway 101 we drive right along the coastline. But the east coast doesn't have that set up. After poking around in a couple of really quaint Maine towns, we decided to cut over to the 9 and see if we could find Old Orchards Beach, an area where my Mother-In-Law used to take the kids when they were young. Oct 13, 2008 - Biddeford, Maine

We had a wonderful stay in Maine at Homestead By the River. When we got there the first day we couldn't decide if we were at a ranch, a zoo, or a campground. There is huge pasture with white fences that had several horses, another fenced area with an outbuilding that housed 3 llama's, 2 goats, and a bunch of ducks. There is a old sheep that roams the area and a friendly old barn cat. Although, we didn't see it, we were told there was a resident wood chuck. It is a great park. The owner's wife is from England and has a heavy English accent....
