We arrived in Minden at 5:30 on Saturday, the first day of the trip. Weather was Hot HOt HOT, really HOT. The park was locted at Goodwill Road and I-20 and did not have what it advertised, 30 amp service. So we were left with only 15 amp service which limited our electrical use - no TV. This was a really Bad park. Won't be here again. On Sunday we did get to see our old haunts - the Lake Claiborne House, Springhill, and Henry's Mother and Dad's graves at the Salem UMC Church. Henry's Washington Trip

May 23, 2008 - Minden, LA

Cypress Black Bayou Campground. On our way to Florida to visit Wendy, Gary, Dylan, Jamie, Brandon, and Hailey. First leg of our trip East and to go up the East Coast. Staying here for few days. Went to the Mud Bug Festival down on the Red River in Bossier City and Carol had some Crawfish and I opted out.
