Oct 31, 2012 - Choudrant

We hit the road really early and, with a couple of stops, rolled into Dick's before 10 o'clock. We got settled in and Joe went over our list of repair/maintenance items with Dick & Ronnie. We'll be here likely until Friday morning and then, we'll head to Grand Prairie, TX. There's a good BBQ place in Ruston, Hot Rods, so we assuaged our urge for BBQ food there for dinner. Dick & Ronnie are early birds and we agreed to being ready to go in the shop at 6 a.m. Thursday morning. Dick probably would have suggested 5 a.m. but he caught the...

While in Biloxi our air conditioning went out! Well you can't travel in the South with no air, soooooo... we took a little detour (307 miles) and headed back to Louisiana! Choudrant to be exact! You ask why there,, because Dick and Trish are there! They have a great place for you to hangout while they work on your rig! We made ourselves comfy in their little bunkhouse during the day. The bunkhouse had everything you needed to pass the time. They are wonderful hosts, and we appreciated their hospitality while the coach was being repaired....

Choudrant LA- We stayed 2 days to have the modifications done to the motor home. We spent most of the 2 days in the “bunk house” which was really a large effiency apartment. The dogs had a great time. At one point Roxie took off chasing a pullet (a large bird). She ran so much she became over heated and we had to give her a quick bath to get her cooled off. We watched more satellite TV than we wanted and read several books. By the time that they were done with the RV, at 9 PM on Friday evening, all of us were very tired. Dick had put in a...

May 6, 2008 - Choudrant, LA

We had a delightful stay at Dick Albritton’s. We were there for some motor home service but quickly felt part of the extended family due to the wonderful southern hospitality from Dick and Tricia. Their home, a bunkhouse, and repair facility is located on 32 acres of green rolling hills, lush woods, a pond, Martin bird apartments, peace and quiet. We had good company and good food with Norm and Kathi. We met a neighbor who had rescued a baby raccoon. It was the cutest critter. John’s highlight was a trip to the drag races to see Dick race....
