Houmas House is a grand estate with the main home built in Greek Revival style house in 1840. There are 38 lush acres of gardens, ponds and a majestic live oak alley too. The plantation was originally established in the late 1700s and was named in honor of the native Houma people, who originally occupied this area of Louisiana.
