Today was a very cool, but yet another beautiful day, so we decided to take a day trip to the Red River Gorge National Geological Area. This trip came about as a result of a tip from our good friend Vance Nelson. “Thank you Vance”! We headed out at 10:00 taking I-64 South to Mountain Parkway into the Daniel Boone National Forest. The Red River Gorge area is right off the Parkway about 11 miles from a town called Stanton. We drove the Scenic Drive around the Gorge.
