Feb 5, 2007 - Auntie-Freeze

Ya know, when we started out today for parts north, we thought, "what are we going to report in the journal; it'll be so boring; just driving". Oh, contrar. As you know we stayed in GA last night and we were fully aware of the very cold temps we were going to travel into. We knew also that we would have to winterize the travel trailer before we got too far north. So, we stopped at a Cracker Barrel in a town north of Atlanta to pick up some lunch and winterize. Sep 5, 2006 - Back home in Columbia, KY

We had a nice, uneventful drive into Columbia this afternoon. John is feeling a bit better and we are both looking forward to seeing all our friends and the progress of the new by-pass in town. After a quick set up I headed into town to meet up with Sonya and see how Hal was doing. Sep 4, 2006 - Franklin, KY A visit with the Grigsbys'

We arrived in Fanklin Thursday afternoon and met Ray and Nancy at a new Italian restaurant and what great food...Nancy was even able to fill her desire for seafood with calamari! Restaurant. John's back is still bothering him and we went home after dinner so he could hit the ice pack. Friday I spent the day with Nancy checking out all the changes that have taken place in Franklin since I was last there. What a beautiful little town and how proud the residents are of it. John spent the day on the coach and his back is not better. Nancy and I...

Jun 6, 2006 - Cumberland Falls, Kentucky

We left Louisville today, and headed East (arn't we supposed to be heading West ?) Anyhow, before I was interrupted.....We stopped at Cumberland Falls State park.(Near Corbin,KY). After hooking up the motorhome with power, water and waste disposal hose, we took our TOAD (our Nisson PU) and headed to the Falls. The falls looked the best that I have ever seen them. The water was high, and it made for a good flow over the falls. We really enjoyed our time there.

Jan 9, 2006 - We're Off!

January 9. We're outta'here. First stop, Cincinnati, to have our satellite activated. Well...that did not go entirely well. We'll keep moving, solve the problems on down the road. Spent our first night tucked between two 18-wheelers in a Love's truck stop in Corbin KY. Not bad, we can do this.
