From Cave Country RV Campground – Cave City, KY Today we headed for the historical town of Munfordville, Kentucky which was also known as Big Buffalo Crossing at one point in its history. The city of about 1,600 people today sits on the banks of the Green River and because of this location it has an abundance of history relating to battles before, during and after the Civil War. From Cave Country RV Park, Cave City, in central Kentucky. We’ve been doing a lot of driving & riding the country roads. Today we did a bit of walking also. Unless you are familiar with central Kentucky, chances are that you have probably not heard of the town of Munfordville. Neither had we until we arrived in this area. Today we went there, about 25 miles north of Cave City, to enjoy the walking tour of the town.
