May 27, 2013 - Land between the Lakes

We spent two nites at Energy Lake Campground. Jerry and Barbara were the host. The campground only has 48 sites. Four loops with 12 sites per loop. Very quite and natural. Many deer in the evening. It rained and stormed all night. Richard and I went to Marion where there is an Amish community and Richard had a beautiful tooled leather sling made for his rifle. Tobie did a wonderful job and Richard is very pleased. We also, bought homemade donuts. Mummm Ummm goooood! We spent $32 for two nights camping. Fourth State=Kentucky

Jun 15, 2006 - Kamptown Kampground in Cadiz, Ky

The drive from Effingham, IL to Cadiz, KY was easy until we got off the Interstate. Our GPS routing program had us take two different State Routes (SR). Tom thought that SRs should be reasonable. The first SR road was well paved, but not very wide. The second SR was not as well paved and even a little narrower! It was all he could do to keep the right front tire on the pavement and the left front on our side of the centerline. We slowed way down a few times when there was oncoming traffic. The campground was OK. The grounds seemed well...
