Pretty lively discussions with Marion who is a diehard Democrat and very pro union where as Mary and I are just the opposite. Once again Marian fixed a delicious brunch that I ate too much of so it was a battle to keep my eyes open while watching the NASCAR Sprint Cup race from Talladega.

Oct 6, 2012 - Grandma Again
Spent the day with Marion and Sally at their home in a hilly wooded sub division of Florence. Marion is the chef of the family and he fixed a great meal of tender loins, potatoes and vegetables. Mary is now Grandma to two more dogs, Myla and Lexie two 10 month old sister Shiatsus.

Oct 5, 2012 - A Crappy Little Park
Nice day for our 233 mile drive most of which was interstate, Mary drove the first leg of the drive because she didn't want to be driving when we went through Cincinnati. We had planned to stay at Big Bone Lick State Park just out side of Florence Ky. but they didn't have a site big enough to handle our rig so we ended up at I-75 Camper Village in Dry, Ky. Ridge 25 miles south of Florence Where Mary's sister Sally and her husband Marion live. A crappy little park but we have full hook ups and our gravel site is fairly level, OK for parking...

Nov 12, 2011 - OTRA - KY - Dry Ridge
11/12/11 WE’RE HEADING SOUTH!! The weather was getting mighty chilly up at Chip’s (30° a couple of nights) so it’s time to hit the road, which we did exactly one hour later than proposed take-off time. We pulled out of the driveway at 11:00 a.m. for the 251-mile trip to our next stop at Dry Ridge, Kentucky. Very uneventful driving along I-71 and I-75, through Columbus and Cincinnati OH (thank goodness) but did have a fierce headwind most of the way. I’m almost afraid to see what our diesel mileage is going to be. Stopped at a rest area...
