I’m sitting here looking out at the fall colors around me and feel so blessed that I am living this life style. We are camping at The Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky on our way west to New Mexico. The leaves seemed to have reached their peak yesterday, and the winds are blowing them down in a golden shower. We decided to take a route through Western Maryland and then along the mountains of West Virginia and Kentucky so that we could enjoy the changing season. It has been absolutely beautiful. Jul 18, 2009 - eastern Kentucky "hills and hollers"
On Friday, we planned our normal ½ hour walk through the RV Park, but a thunderstorm chased us back to the RV after only 15 minutes. After the storm passed through, more rain still threatened, so Fred decided we would not ride the bike today, but take the truck on the route he had planned. We rode around for five hours, south through parts of the Daniel Boone National Forest to the Red River Gorge Loop Drive.
