Apr 26, 2013 - ready to move

Well looks like we will be moving on to Cedarmore on Monday. We got our glasses, Donald got his physical, and the truck is fixed. They did a great job on it. Sure is nice to ride down the road without the noise of the fender flapping on the tire. Donald has spent some time with his dad and I have got to do some stampin and some sewing. Now time to go to work. We have gotten kind of lazy but I am sure we will get back in the grove soon. Looking forward to some good camp food and seeing who will be back this year. Apr 19, 2013 - waiting

We are still in Brandenburg waiting to get the truck fixed. We are getting a few things accomplished. Have done some shopping, Donald has been out to his dad's and done a few things for him. We went to Elizabethtown this morning and bought glasses. We cannot believe how much they cost. The funny thing is they say buy one get one free. That's a joke to me. Hope to get the truck fixed so we can move on to Cedarmore on the 28th of April. Cassidy has a dance competition on the 26th.

Mar 24, 2013 - Wonderful day at church

So glad to see all our great friends at Payneville Baptist Church! The church is really growing and getting some young people in it. That is so good to see. They did there Easter Contada. It was beautiful! Had a Baptism. A teenager who has come to our church with her grandmother for years for BibleSchool and other special things so we were so glad to see her profess her faith thought baptist. They had Pizza and Cake after church which gave a chance to visit with everyone. We came home and worked on our taxes. Will be glad when we are...

Mar 23, 2013 - To cold for us

We spent the night at the apartment. At least it was warm and we have running water. Really wishing we were still in south Texas. Donald says we won't be home this early next year. Our neighbor ( Forest) that takes care of things for us when we are gone came over for awhile. They have had a bad winter he has been in the hospital twice this winter and they lost there 10 year old grandson. We are so grateful to them for watching everything. Mar 22, 2013 - Home

We drove 129 miles today and arrived in Brandenburg about 1 o'clock. We lost another hour so we are really behind. We have lost 2 hours since we left Texas. One from the change for daylight savings time and now we have moved into eastern time zone. We have a very good friend that is letting us park at his place and use his hookups. Back to the fair again tonight. We watched the weather before we went and the weather guesser (as Ann on another blog calls them) said there was going to be rain but it would all be south and east of us. Not going to be here so we were there about 15 minutes and it started to lighting and thunder and then we had a big rain. Everything in the ring was cancelled so people were not very happy. Jul 23, 2012 - Money give away

Well tonight is the first night of the Meade County Fair. Tonight is the English Horse Show which doesn't draw a very big crowd but at 10:00 they give away two money prizes. First is $5000 and second is $3000. They called the first name and someone showed up with the winning ticket. Then they called the second number and they give 10 minutes for the person to show up. She never did show up. I bet she was really disappointed when she found out they had called her name and she wasn't there. So then they called another name and of course it...

Jul 22, 2012 - Back at our home church

Was so good to see everyone at our home church. We have been gone all summer and all the kids have grown so much. Do kids always grow more in the summer. Four adults , three boys and six girls left after church to go to Cedarmore to Kids camp. The kids were excited and a few mothers were tearing up. Of course we had to go and sit in the HOT sun and watch the parade. It is amazing how many people are in Brandenburg that we don't know. Our small town is really growing. Jul 20, 2012 - mixed feelings

Today was a day of mixed feelings. We will be leaving Cedarmore tomorrow morning and all the staff will be off so Corky ( the property manager) had all the staff to sign a picture frame for us with a picture of them all. Mike (the wonderful cook) baked us a beautiful cake. We wish we could have spent more time with the staff but we were delivering food to another camp who needed to eat in 30 minutes so we have to rush off. One of the young families that have worked with crossing ever since we have been going there, are moving to Haiti so...

Apr 3, 2012 - It is over

We had the audit this morning and it went real well. Thanks to Sara our tax lady who had everything very well organized. Was there about a hour and all of our papers were in order. The lady told us this was just a random audit and she ask us questions about how we use the Internet because she said the government was trying to Make everyone e-file. Guess they just picked a old couple to audit. Anyway we are so glad that is over with. Now we can move on.

Apr 2, 2012 - pretty quite

Well I realize I have been pretty quite since we got home. We came home for a audit and tomorrow is the day. I pray it only last one day. We are planning on taking Tammy and Cassidy to Cave City for spring break. Hope to leave here Sat and return the next Sat, Kyle is coming down from collage on Sat for a couple days. We each have doctor app. when we get back then hopefully we will be on the road again. We sure do miss being in our house on wheels.

Haven't had much to write lately. We are just catching up on things. Went on Sat the 17th and watched Cassidy Dance. She does such a great job. Have each been to the Doctor and picked up our prescriptions. Also took care of some financial things. Donald has been out to his Dads and fixed some things for him. Also mowed his grass. Really getting the itch to get back on the road. Hopefully can take Cassidy camping over spring break. My computer crapped out so had to take it to the Dr. It is working now but everything was erased so now...
