You know how by the end of a trip there isn't much to say, well this posting will be short and sweet. We were able to break down, pack up and pull out of the fairgrounds by 10 am and headed south west to Phyl's parents in Benton, KY. We were surprised to get away so easily since there were still lots of coaches parked. We both agreed this was the longest drive of the whole trip; not because of the miles, but because of the road. We drove from Indianapolis to Louisville, KY on I-65 then on to Elizabethtown, KY where we picked up Bluegrass...

2012 Summer Adventures

Oct 18, 2011 - visit with mom and dad

Tuesday morning and it was still raining. Oh well, guess the earth in this part of the country must need the rain. We packed up everything and started out on our day’s journey. It rained on us until about Vincennes, IN, but it remained cloudy the rest of the way into Benton, KY. Phyl had spoken with her mother earlier in the day and told her not to plan on us being there at a certain time, but about 30 minutes out mom called to see if we were close as they were hungry.
