Jun 13, 2013 - how can we be so tired already

Well we continue to get busier and busier. While we were at the horse show Sat. night one of the directors called and ask us if we could move a trailer to Lexington for them. So that meant we drove to Brandenburg (100 miles) on Sat night then bought the truck back with us. We had to drive the truck anf the car back with us because the truck won't fit in the parking garage downtown and I had to go back to the doctor Tues. Then early Sunday morning we came back to camp and picked up the trailer Of course it couldn't be easy. The brakes lights...

May 29, 2013 - Back at Camp

Yesterday was a good day. Donald got the oil changed in the car, got propane, I got my haircut, my pricription and went to the orthopedic doctor. It was a great visit. At least now I know what is going on with my knees. Hind site is great but I wish I had gone along time ago. I am looking at full knee replacement in both knees but the doctor and I decided to try everything else we could do for awhile. I told him I was to busy to have it done. He said I was the kind he wanted because when I did have to have it done I will want to get up and...

May 27, 2013 - busy week-end

We are back in Brandenburg for the long week-end. We left camp on sat around noon and we went to our daughters house in Shepherdsville. She is having a birthday party for our granddaughter. Her 12th birthday is the 31st but her cousins have so much going on this is the only day they could get together. She is such a delightful child. Hope she doesn't read this and see I called her a child. At 12 they think they are teenagers. We got back to Brandenburg Sat night. Of course we have to carry everything in ( I guess I should say Donald...

May 20, 2013 - 31 years

Yesterday was our 31st wedding anniversary. We went to church and then out to eat with our friends Connie and Larry. Our neighbors who are here volunteers from Florida, Danny and Elease went with us. They will be pulling out Thurs morning to continue there adventure. When we got back to camp Donald mowed Cedarcrest and I started the laundry. I told one of the D 6ers that they had kept the laundry caught up so I didn't feel useful. Well he fixed that yesterday. We had 130 guest over the week-end so when I went into the laundry I had a room...

May 6, 2013 - taking my glasses back

Everybody went to Red River Gorge camping. It has been raining for 3 days but they have a cabin so probably just stay in and play cards. The Brown's went to Lexington so I decided to take my glasses back..I can't believe we paid over 600dollars for them and I can't read with them on. I have been wearing my 4 dollar readers. Of course they had all kinds of excuses why I couldn't see out of them. I finally convinced them I couldn't read with them on and so they examined my eyes again and have decided they needed changing. I am anxious to get...

May 1, 2013 - Cedarmore

We made it to Cedarmore on Monday. They had moved a doublewide trailer in our camping spot so we are closer to the staff trailers. The most important thing is that my swing is still here. Also our porch is still here. Today another couple came in They are in a 39 foot Big Horn trailer so we know they have good taste. They are members of Campers On Mission and will be here 3 weeks. Always is nice to have company. I haven't felt good since we got here so I didn't go to work until this afternoon. They have contracted out the washing of the...
