Sep 11, 2012 - Ogallala NE & Olathe KS

Leaving Frisco we detoured over Loveland Pass which is just shy of 12,000 feet. We saw lots of dead pine trees killed by the beetle that is destroying forests all the way from California to Canada. In Ogallala we stay one night with Gloria and David Fowler. David and I participated in a mission to China a few years ago. Shortly after we got settled, the pilot announced we would take off in about 10-20 seconds. Twenty minutes later, he announced that we would take off in about 20 seconds. This time, it turned out to be true, and less than 20...

Well its coming down to crunch time, all of the hours spent researching, planning and emailing confirmations are about to be tested. The time spent on forums trying to fathom what to expect will soon be expected. Am I ready? Yes. Am I Nervous? Hell Yes. Only so much can prepare me/us for what we will encounter once we step out of the airport and into the (hopefully) beautiful chaos they call Delhi. My pack - Check! Clothes - Check! Camera - Check! Anti- Diarrhea pills - Double Check! An old friend from childhood who is now a flight...
