The day started with the ALARM! yes, we need help to be awake before 7 a.m. As the refrigerator is going to be worked on at 8 a.m., it had to be emptied. The refrig is as empty as it ever gets. Everything was put into the outside 12-volt refrigerator; and, the freezer items went into a cooler with ice. After delivering the mh to the service area, we drove into Joplin for breakfast at Cracker Barrell (note: don't really like the gravy). Afterwards we drove through the devastated area. We left Lamar early this morning with plans of staying in Cimarron, KS at a city park. We found the park with ease but it wasn't practical for a 36' motorhome. We had lunch while we were there and then took a look at Benjy who was loaded with burrs from the park. It took me over a hour to remove all the burrs and get him cleaned up. I had wanted to stay here due to the close proximity to Dodge City. We continued into Dodge and I was instantly disappointed. It looked like a Western park. We didn't stay but I was at a loss as to where to stay...
