I was right - we took a trip to Oz today. Well, actually the Oz Museum in Wamego, KS, yet another place that I never expected to be. I don’t know why Wamego rates the Oz Museum, but I guess since it’s in Kansas, it’s legal. It was mostly made up of displays of items that really weren’t used in the movie, but it did seem to have a lot of Munchkin memorabilia and interesting history of the making of the movie. The big tall guy in the back – no, we didn’t leave the cell phone at the campground. The skinny girl in the 2nd...

Jul 11, 2010 - We Finally Left Oklahoma!!!!

We did finally get on the road on Friday after another delay due to needing brake work on the 5th wheel. That was a two day delay and they had our "home" in the tire shop. We spent some more time with family in Owasso and then finally hit the road on Friday morning. The drive was uneventful and we made it to Eisenhower State Park by 3:30 in the afternoon. The park is really nice....rolling hills of prairie. It is on a small lake and we put the boat in and have been fishing some. Yesterday we noticed the A/C in the truck was not working well...
