Today’s venture to Cassoday, Kansas, was a moderate 93-mile ride with 1,647’ of ascent. I use the word, “moderate,” for moderately hot, and for moderately windy. Also, moderate is used in honor of all Jojoba Hills hikes; no matter how far, or how hilly, all Jojoba hikes seem to be rated “moderate.” Cassoday, Kansas, population 121 and elevation 1,473, is in Butler County in the scenic Flint Hills area of Kansas.
